Also, the only people I've seen "open carrying" automatic weapons around NYC are soldiers and law enforcement.

Chuck has done and said nearly nothing to call attention to, slow or diminish the onslaught of MAGA destruction of our government. It's time new Democratic leadership. Real Democrats, not just a nicer, politer version of the GOP. Selling out to monied interests sucks no matter which side does it.

The Muskovite inmates have taken over the asylum. X is an unacceptable brand risk to any legitimate enterprise. The only companies that should stay on X are those advertising ICE jobs, weapons, ammo, dehydrated food, and ED meds.

Maybe red voters were focused on the fallout from the economic downturn and were confused about why their "champion" wasn't stepping up to help them.
Given that, hating on trans people really didn't seem like the better way to spend their energy.

Mamdani has shown the way back to power for the Democratic Party. Now if they will just stop demonizing him for long enough to learn a thing or two they might make some progress. Otherwise they are just "GOP Lite - Still Corporate Shills, But 35% Less Racism and Sexism"

Who ever thought Trump didn't think he'd piss people off? He delights in it. It takes puts focus on the outrage instead of on what he did (or will do next).

This is a weak justification for the institution of an authoritarian police state, especially one that targets marginalized people to satisfy the rage of some other marginalized people.

That is not where the "enemy within" is, according to Trump. Where that is seems to change by the hour, based on where and when he can deploy his thug resources. ICE needs to be shut down immediately. Nothing good for the US can come from Trump having a private hit squad at his beck and call.
