I think for the Gavan reboot movie they had Chumei Watanabe and Kosuke Yamashita. So my hunch is the latter will be selected. I'm still interested in how this new approach will turn out!

Yea, the DCAU set the bar too dang high. Although the only other DC Animated Series that caught my eye as a kid was The Batman (2004). Not the DCAU, but works great as it's own series. Plus they have a lot of popular VA's in it.
