I found the chapter that resolves well known statistical paradoxes with causal diagrams enlightening, and I’m totally convinced by the usefulness of them.

Well, examples of course help. I appreciated the chapter on the historical debates on the association between smoking and lung cancer and I was surprised how long it took people to be convinced that it was causal.

So far I’ve been using summers to self train on subjects I’m curious about. This summer I hope to learn more about causal inference
