As upsetting as it is to appear to surrender, if the alternative is pushing Americas most vulnerable to starvation, at some point yes caving to feed the hungry is going to be the appropriate response.
The timing is debatable, I say perhaps too soon, but it must be done or we are no better.

Stopped a woman in full road rage from running over a family. Driving a convertible waving money, screaming & blowing on the horn as a family of four two parent two little kiddos like 6 & 9 making their way across the intersection on bikes. Said to her "those are little kids."

So yesterday this guy was blocking the bike lanes and the car lanes. Rather than go around him I simply stopped and and waited and filmed. He actually apologized.

Seems like the only thing that reliably keeps divers out of bikelanes is making the bikeways sidewalk level.
Not foolproof, but way better.
