I know I’ll make for an impeccable dad in the future. Simply being a “good” parent doesn’t even take that much effort—only time. I know that’s a crazy thing to say, considering how many bad parents there are in the world, but all it takes is a little love, empathy, and understanding. 🩶✌️

Meet Flip! (Their sibling’s name is Flop🩴). Flip n’ Flop were the last two western snowy plover chicks I helped to band as a WDFW biologist this past summer (with all appropriate USGS and BBL permits). I spotted Flip a few days ago on a survey, all grown up, on the same beach they were born on.
