whelp I discovered the pilot pen in #infinitepaint and now love freaking drawing so much in it. Messing with some duplicates brushes and changing settings but man it's so good! Anywho some tree branch studies.

4 guache studies of landscapes. Top 2 are both rock formations just off a coast of a beach. Bottom left a lush greenscape and bottom right another rock formation out at sea covered in green's.

Old chaotic marker and pen sketch of pima community college west campus and it's concrete stairs and connecting buildings. Sketch to the left is a really messy tree. I would say very early 2000's on these. I was a late bloomer to the arts. A more recent illustration of a fantastical grotto that is vast with growing vegetation and a waterfall streaming from above.

time for ye olde post. First is a page that I believe is mainly studies from the amazing Edgar Payne in Gouache. The other is just a whole bunch of super small washe's messing around with textures/colors. I scanned that today so I can maybe use that as overlay in other pieces :D

Basics for me while painting in a new program. Trying out infinite painter. I've been spending the last week...honestly two weeks making brush's I like. This program kind of slaps. I think I still prefer sketching/drawing in procreate but yeah painting wise I prefer this.

so I've been doing more and more quick studies away from my computer and more with gouache. These are super small like 2.5x2.5 . But yeah genuinely having fun picking up actual paints again.

Ah hope you are well and always thank you for the artshares! So last two weeks mainly been working on #pleinairpril so I'll share my favorite 4 pieces from that.
