Have always loved the way Norman Rockwell’s paintings captured a moment that told a story. This has long been one of my favorites. It’s in the permanent collection of the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery.

I’ve always been fascinated by this photo. Not so much because of the iconic Ali moment, but because of legendary photographer Herb Scharfman, visible here between Ali’s legs. He’s at the biggest moment in boxing history with a camera in his hand but a ringside spot where he can’t get a usable shot.
