Please call your members of Congress and ask them to support restoring this administration’s cuts to HIV and PEPFAR funding. While the federal government may not be honoring World AIDS Day, I’m recommitting myself in the fight to end the stigma and finally end the epidemic.

This administration has made it a priority to cut funding for critical HIV prevention and treatment programs. Now they are trying to erase visibility.

This year, the Trump Administration announced that they won't be recognizing World AIDS Day. This is a callous move – one that sends a dangerous message at an already frightening and uncertain time for our country.

As an Eagle Scout, I was always taught to leave the world a better place than when I found it. That’s exactly why I ran for alder. I look forward to being a strong voice for all of my neighbors on the common council and giving back to the communities that raised me.

To everyone who invited me into your homes and introduced me to your loved ones. I carried your stories with me every day on the campaign trail, and I’ll do the same as your alder. We’ve got a lot of work to do, but I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and fight for District 16.
