Ninety-nine new pence is fine but I draw the line at the one pound sign
Piss easy mode, surely

“Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.”

Introduce yourself with 5 cars you've owned

Austin Allegro
MG Midget
Volkswagen Beetle
Jaguar XJS
Honda Del Sol

I really don't think of myself as a red two-seater sports car kind of bloke but looking back it turns out I've owned two.

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Edge of Darkness was good but the music was fucking awful. My money was on Gary Moore but it was that c and three stars Clapton.

We are on the cusp of eradicating cervical cancer, and significantly reducing penile, anal and some head and neck cancers. These are cancers that kill young adults, and it’s a tragedy. Those who spread anti-vax disinformation are killing their children.

OK so that wasn't Hothouse Flowers and now I know what Sam Fender sounds like.

I didn’t think I could summon up any more hate for the bloke, but then he filled my timeline with skeets about fucking Hobbits

Just fixed the lawnmower. Took it to apart. Found the problem. Soldered some wires. Put it back together again.

Trying to make out to Mrs Beastie that it's no big deal but it's difficult because I've just ascended to another level of being and I'm now more god than man.

OK, let's take this seriously. I had an odd half an hour and via Apple Books had a quick look at the three claims I knew most about - two re the post-Brexit bilateral preferential trade agreements replicated from the EU versions and one about cheaper bananas. All are wrong or wildly implausible. 1/n

Today was nearly the changeover day for us bald guys to go from baseball cap to beanie.

Raining, miserable and windy, but not blowy enough to dislodge a baseball cap and pretty warm overall if you had a bit of a walk under your belt.

On Yom Kippur many Jewish people in Britain have their phones off to mark the holy day.

As it ends at 723pm, some will hear the tragic Manchester news for the first time.

At that time, please join many of us to send a message of solidarity to British Jews. Thanks Together coalition for proposing.

“Pivot to video” - by which, of course, they mean, “Pillage the intellectual property of others while burning the planet in order to destroy any concept of objective truth as a desperate attempt to find something profitable before the bubble pops.”

Not one bit of it is tenable.
All hell is about to be unleashed on people utterly unprepared to discern truth from falsehood.
I told OpenAI's Sora to make a video showing "Body cam footage of cops arresting a dark skinned man in a department store." It took less than a minute.

I can never remember the word for 'dishwasher' so I'm not going to bother trying anymore.

The plates are going in the 'washing machine' in future. You know which one it is.

Watching the Tour of Britain but all I can focus on is the amount of litter in the lanes. Not the kind of advertisement for the Welsh countryside that they were looking for.

Migrating to Microsoft at work lads.

I’d honestly forgotten what it was like to have a spreadsheet crash on me, and I swear I’ll never take stuff *just working* for granted again

Formatting. Reviewing. Menus. The whole shitty UXP. And don’t even get me started on fucking SharePoint.

I have just submitted a complaint to the BBC about the last 7.5 minutes of this morning's Today programme.
I'm told that the BBC has now restricted the accessibility of audio as well as TV so here's the clip of the last 1 minute 50 seconds of the program. It's the least impartial thing I've ever heard on BBC News. The word "extreme" doesn't appear during the whole item.
