As a scuba diver, I find my true freedom beneath the waves. I take pics at times, but I prefer diving without a camera, allowing me to fully enjoy the experience and the surrounding beauty.

Another North Sea crab for #Crustmas

This own is covered in whatever that is, growing on him. He's not dead, by the way. They can stay still for crazy amounts of time.

Every summer, a slimy layer of mold or something, expands in our saltwater lakes, depriving everything of oxygen.

This lobster climbed to higher ground, trying to escape, but fell victim to the spooky stuff.

Every year, divers plant those (natural) structures in early spring, before the cuttlefish arrive. Seahorses like them too!

A North Sea crab sitting on a throne.

Usually, they're buried in holes or on the ground, covered in dust, sand, everything. I've never seen one walk, or even move. So, they can easily be overlooked, despite their size.

A dahlia anemone (seadahlia in Dutch) about 5 meters deep. In the Grevelingenmeer, a huge salt water lake full of sea life in Zeeland, the Netherlands. It's popular for diving since there are no currents or tides.
