Samune is the location for the majority of #TheFalconersPrince. It's a sprawling town turned city that includes all walks of life and a mystery waiting to be uncovered.

Samune started at the base of the mountains and spread out from there, the population boom too fast for the local craftsmen to keep up with. They passed by houses and shops that were fully wood and gave off the impression they were built in a day and could be taken down in less. The closer they traveled to the mountains, the more stone was included in building designs, providing much needed stability to the structures. The rock here was lined deep orange and gray, nothing like the pale whites and yellows of the palace.

Prince Indra turned to Tazzire with his nose upturned. “This is the place your friend recommended? Clearly he wants us to be killed.” Tazzire snorted and gave Prince Indra a little push. “Come on now, it’s just a bar. I’m sure you’ll feel different after we get a few beers in you. Unclench that prestigious ass of yours and let’s get in there.” He left the Prince spluttering and red-faced as he pushed open the wooden door. A wall of thick smoke and sound enveloped his senses. Boisterous laughter, clanks of metal mugs on tables, and the shuffles of cards.

His bedroom was dark when he entered it, the bay window revealing no moon and barely any stars. Wisps of clouds painted the sky almost as an afterthought. With each step across the room, Indra undid buckles and clasps, stripping away belts and cuffs and jewelry until the light blue river of linen hung loosely over his shoulders, the matching sarouel much more comfortable without the jewel embedded belts around his waist.

Tazzire shifted, his leg brushing against Indra’s knee. His mouth opened wider as if to speak, but the touch was enough to jerk Indra back to his feet, grabbing the salve lid on the way. He took an unsteady step backwards. The new angle of him looking down at the other man was enough to restart his brain and allow him to find his station again.

She is the catalyst for Indra's journey, sending him and her other sons on quests to prove their right to rule.
