Absolutely crushing. Rob was one of my freelancers when I ran the Star Wars line at WotC, and has remained a colleague over the years. He was always eager to help, and the world is a worse place for having lost him.
Game designer Rob Wieland (b.1978) died on October 12. He worked on Shadowrun, Star Wars Saga Edition, Firefly, and Vampire: The Masquerade. Wieland hosted the Theatre of the Mind Players livestream and wrote for Geek & Sundry, Dicebreaker, and Forbes.

Ran Neon City Outlaws at Gen Con today, first play of The Convention Job (which will be one of the free scenarios coming to Kickstarter backers once it's been playtested and polished). Went really well, and the players were great. Already found some things to tweak before Saturday's session!

Spectaculars, by @scratchpadpub.bsky.social, is another game I've seen first-time GM's pick up and run with gusto. I love how it feels like an entire game-in-a-box, even if you're running online. Character creation feels full of possibility, but it gives you helpful limitations - a great balance!
