I'm saddened to learn of the passing of Dr Elspeth King, the legendary curator of the People's Palace, and a fierce advocate for Glasgow and its history.

This was fascinating on the release of the film adaptation of Alasdair Gray's "Poor Things".

No need for tea and biscuits, its going to be a short meeting, near nothing and the cost v any precieved gains means its not worth doing. Thats even before tou consider the political capital theyll loose by trying to introduce it.
NEW: Government minister Ian Murray, plus No10 officials, will hold a meeting with Labour MPs and peers next Tuesday to discuss what digital ID cards "can offer public service reform".

Comes amid mounting Labour anger at the policy.
