Socialist pagan queer dude. Pro-Palestine. Anti-tech bro.
It's racial profiling at it's most extreme, and the Supreme Court legalized it.

Mamdani has the rizz. He just has that STAR quality that Trump is always looking for.

There is actually a strong religious left in the United States, they just to be drowned out by all the MAGA hypocrites.

As someone who is 5'3", I'm definitely a fan of the chest pillow 😛

The hell is that? Like Chapo Trap House? I mean, I kinda went from Chapo to Breaking Points, but...

I've always been a socialist, so I' sure I've also always been a baddie to whoever those people are.

It's telling that none of the "yes" votes are up for re-election in 2026...

This made me so mad when I saw the headline I literally screamed "Fuck the Supreme Court!" at my local bar. 😅

Witches are way too cool for that crowd.

I feel lucky sometimes in SF that the oligarchs somehow prevented this here...but you can't call a country a democracy if the only thing standing between you and martial law is one billionnaire.

I'd hazard to guess that most religions are a lot more ethical than American Christianity (tm).

You could smell the fact that I'm from California, have no idea who Wood is, and originally asked a question about his position on the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Because of the radical idea that an alternative should have the same values.

If you were working-class you would know that a lot of working-class people have tattoos that we got at various times, and not everyone has researched the symbolism or looked at a fact sheet provided by an anti-Muslim organization first.

But again, this is assuming your average person would know that. I have six tattoos; I wouldn't have clocked it.

And it's not a visible tattoo. This likely wouldn't come up in his everyday life until he decided to run for Congress and had someone running oppo research on him.

Intention matters. I spent five years protesting against fascists in Portland from 2016-2020 and I didn't recognize it. It's not something the person on the street would see and say, "I'm going to get this to identify as a Nazi." The controversy about it is a classic smear job by centrist Democrats.

I believe his story about Croatia. I'd find that a little harder to believe about a swastika, but a skull? People get tattoos like that all the time.
October 26, 2025 at 11:33 PM
I care a lot more about someone's policies than what stupid tattoos they got in the military. Is this other candidate also willing to call the genocide in Gaza for what it is?
October 26, 2025 at 6:48 PM
It was a fascist symbol. He acknowledged that and removed it. How many Democrats are willing to acknowledge the risk fascism in the United States?

It sucks in that it's probably going to sink his campaign. But as someone who's spent some time with drunk military guys at dive bars, his story of how the tattoo came to be sounds pretty legit.

I have family in that area in Idaho, and this was really messed up to hear about. Lots of agricultural workers of Latino descent, many of whom are 2nd/3rd/4th generation, similar to the Central Valley in California.

I don't have the article handy, but it was reported in the Guardian that two people killed were fishermen from Trinidad & Tobago.

I agree with Kat!
