Watched The Matador again. Not many movies make me laugh harder. But more than that, it's one of the best written movies I can list. Walks the tightrope and manages to be bawdy, silly, dark and surprisingly resonant at various turns. Still the best single showcase of Pierce Brosnan's many talents.

Counteracting the year from hell by binging my comfort shows. Next on the docket is Deadwood, which is great, except that it's going to make me ashamed of any dialogue I concoct over the next 12 months.

RIP Nicky Katt. An excellent actor who was convincing and memorable even in the smallest of roles.

One thing I've learned over the years: watching When Harry Met Sally, spending very little money, going to bed early and waking up without a hangover on New Year's Day sure beats the alternative.

I have finite number of party days per year in me at this age, this does not need to be one of them 🤣
