We want denial of Scotland's colony status to be seen as racist, especially when used in conjunction with racist dialogue to suggest Scottish people, because of their ethnicity, bear a greater degree of guilt for the Empire than other UK populations.

We deal with students who have have received shocking racial abuse every day and part of the reason they suffer it is because of the growing use of colonial racist libels.

One of our aims is to have the casual and unwarranted use of the term "blood and soil" by people who have settled Scotland from the dominant colonial power classed as "hate speech" and subject to the same criminal sanctions as using racial terms in relation to a black or brown person.

We are saddened to note that in rural areas anti-Scottish racism is often worse than in towns and that new "community groups" are often hubs of it. And essentially some are just different kinds of land grabbers. Focus on the indigenous people who have been sinned against, not just the land.

The press trivialise it as "Snobbery" but tell that to adults who have had their confidence undermined to the degree they fail at work and fail in relationships following long term racial abuse.
