Sadly, most architects don’t know much about HVAC, especially ventilation and moreso the codes in the US haven’t aligned. For example, the energy code wants a tighter envelope (3 ACH 50) but the mechanical code still allows for bathroom/kitchen intermittent exhaust fans to provide ventilation.

Not until the window units are developed, sadly.

I’ve seen people rig the Panasonic up in hotels, setting up fab’s intake and exhaust ports that fit into a window opening. Think like cardboard cut out with 2 holes in it for intake and exhaust.
