Faculty in red states are being punished for failing to signal in their course descriptions that their classes will include content on "gender ideology."

Remind me again which party was appalled by idea of "trigger warnings"?

Dear USG,
Sorry to hear that you accidentally turned in a preliminary draft of your letter. Unfortunately, now that a grade has been submitted, we cannot accept a revised version, and the original grade must stand. I hope this will serve as a reminder to double check your work before submitting it.

NEW: ALA is going to court to stop the President’s attempts to illegally dismantle the Institute of Museum & Library Services.

The President does not have the authority to destroy a federal agency. That's why we're taking action with our co-plaintiff @afscme.bsky.social. #ForOurLibraries (1/3)

Some thoughts on this, in no particular order.
1.) The Ukrainians were initially willing to give some level of mineral rights to the US for support; the Trump administration instead pushed for a massive grab of those rights and tried to force Zelenskyy into it with a late-night "sign this" move.

This is an excellent and timely factsheet on Ukraine, U.S. v. European security assistance, and other misunderstood or lied about aspects of the war, by our friends at @thestudyofwar.bsky.social. I'll summarize a few main points below, with additional sources of my own:

Russian forces currently occupy around 20 percent of Ukraine, leaving the remaining 80 percent of the country under Ukraine's sovereign control. At the current rate of advance, it would take Russian f...

I’m eager to see how Americans respond to the increased unemployment rate after all of these illegal cuts. But who’s going to be around/allowed to track unemployment? And are people even going to be able to claim unemployment?
