Chicago is on the coast of Lake Michigan, which is a border with Canada (see image below from the ACLU).

However, the above story is from Portland, Oregon, which is on the Pacific Coast, which is also a border.

Today is the 56th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. It wasn't the first fight for LGBTQ acceptance, it wasn't the last, and there will be many more to come.

This is factually incorrect. While yes, the majority of white people vote Republican, the majority of Democratic voters are still also white.

It's also what makes them so dangerous. They don't view us as human, so what happens to us is irrelevant. So what if millions of us die, we're expendable.

If your only exposure to Martin Luther King Jr is the "I Have a Dream" speech, you don't have the whole picture. King was an activist, an agitator. Nonviolent Direct Action, as he called his Demonstrations, Marches, and Sit-Ins, were intentionally disruptive. (1/2)
