the human genome contains 19,900 genes, and about 3.1 billion base pairs, or “letters” (each chemical base of DNA is represented by A, C, T or G).

the human body also contains ~30 trillion cells!

if you unraveled all the DNA in a SINGLE cell, it would be over 2 meters long!
