Reconnecting w/Gabo after almost 30yrs and giving this gem another go. Just finished the 1st chapter and I’d forgotten how much science/the yearning for knowing what’s out there sets up the story. The pushback from those who wanted Macondo to stay the same resonates w/my experience in LatAm, tho 😩
