given that a certain scifi author's newsletter used the word Interrogate today... I have to agree with his context, which is anti-AI / anti-monopoly activism.

Because really, the AI shills and their absolute idiot targets (marks) need a good hard interrogation. five lights, the whole deal.

Oh Bsky... unironically demonstrating the point in multiple ways....

My almost 12 year old child is resisting going to bed. Tonight’s form of resistence is grabbing books off the shelf in my bedroom and checking what they’re about.

Child stopped and opened “Stories are Weapons” and read for 20 minutes… I think it’s a hit…

The second illustration was a complete surprise, hiding deep in the book after an important piece of story-within-a-story.

Page 96, for anyone who might happen to want to see exactly what this cat is smirking about. ;)

I was fortunate enough to have my book signed and personalized by the author, who gave me two wonderfully silly illustrations, too.

I have excluded her actual signature as the page also has my name on it.

I have finally finished reading @charliejane.bsky.social ‘s most recent novel, “Lessons in Magic & Disaster,” and I have to say: I think this is her best book yet. It is grounded, completely personal, and wonderfully whimsical.

Worth your time.

@eileengunn.bsky.social I hate to break it to you, but @scalzi.com is at it again!

Yeah, it was a good crowd.

That broken binding special edition of "When the Moon Hits Your Eye" looks absolutely gorgeous, with the sprayed edges and the cover art and all.

Bucket was caught licking his chops today, and the picture came out better than I could imagine.

Deck 2 is a little more interesting, as I did draw some much bigger bombs, but it was harder to get support and I needed to splash into green to really make it shine.

It went 2-1-0

Deck 1 was me footling about around without a lot of bombs in my opens. Zidane was a good pick, and white mage's staff + aerith were a good combo. Vaan proved quite helpful, but no real synergies and I went 1-1-1 with the deck.

This weekend I was lucky enough to get to do not one, but TWO #MTGxFinalFantasy prerelease events! I chose my Sea Serpent playmat for the events, as it's a reasonable stand-in for the Leviathan summon / Eikon.

So.. I'm gonna post both of my play decks! they weren't **Fabulous** but....

With the name @djangowexler.bsky.social ‘s latest novel possesses, I can think of no more amusing a dedication.

Well played

While dealing with a long wait, nothing could be better than getting to start the new @carlhiaasen.com book.

Just a few chapters in and I can already tell that Fever Beach is going to deliver the Floridian insanity in the way that only Carl Hiaasen can…

Today's bookstore acquisitions: New Releases from @emilytesh.net and @theauthorguy.bsky.social!

I'm quite looking forward to both of these. Tesh's is a magical school.. from a grownup perspective, and I need that right now.

And Moore never fails to make me giggle in delight, so... yay!

I had almost forgotten that I per-ordered this, and it came in the mail today - a graphic novel adaptation of an old friend, with work done by @definitelyvita.bsky.social vita.bsky.social and @sambeckdraws.bsky.social.

Getting to pass this series on (in a new form) to my kids? Amazing.
