i personally cannot afford to pay an artist right now so i do that shit myself with photoshop. it's not nearly as hard as you think and if you don't want to pay adobe there are plenty of similar robust open-source programs

the work situation has been really rough lately. even cool things like a TV development deal and a produced feature aren't enough to survive on, so i was thinking about nutting up and trying to get a "real" job like that again. how bad could it be? yesterday showed me just how much worse it's gotten

i worked at this consulting firm 15 years ago doing entry-level marketing and i was, like, suicidally depressed. yesterday made me realize why: you can't be a creative person who believes in non-monetary value and spend most of your time with people who've been totalized by capitalism
