First day of #Lexember !!

Might jump around a few of my conlangs this year, but I'm starting off with Orn Rood familial terms that I don't have already!

Although I wasn’t able to complete all the prompts I still had a lot of fun! Thank you for the opportunity to talk about my conlang!!
#ConlangNovember 30: We've had a full month of conlanging, but now it's time to wrap it up. Do you have any closing thoughts? Things you learned doing this? Shoutouts? Feedback, or areas for improvement?

#ConlangNovember 28:

The Ullalk word for 'say' has two etymologies, two forms. /an.los/, used for pst, pres, and fut and /lo/ for the verbal noun and /lo.ən/ the pst participle.
#ConlangNovember 28: This week's prompt is 'say'. Your choice how to interpret. You could give the translation, use it in a sentence in your conlang, or just take it as a starting point for inspiration for something conlang-related to discuss.

#ConlangNovember 25: There are two types of Ullalk taboos I've created words for, general profanities regarding sex or bodily functions and religious profanities.

Among the weirder ones are Elchams /élx.əms/ 'fondle' (hold + frequentative) and Niis /níɪs/ literally 'to insert' (1/4)
#ConlangNovember 25: Today's topic is taboos. What words or phrases in your language are considered inappropriate, repugnant or sacrilegious to say in the culture of its speakers? (Totally not asking you to teach us how to swear in your conlang…)

#ConlangNovember 24:

I have a single idiom in Ullalk,

/mo mult a nu fúlpɛrɪn/
(they are) a wolf in a library.
to be a very stubborn person.
#ConlangNovember 24: How does your language reflect the culture of its speakers? For example, are there certain idioms that reference a particular aspect of their culture?

A tiny personal comic.

I feel so loved when people remember such small things as my favorite color. Helps me to feel seen

What's your favorite color?

Ullalk's departure from Alun was mostly grammatical, though fueled by the loss of cases due to sound changes. Because Ullalk was a minority language for centuries, it took on much of the vocabulary of Esgrii such as the previously mentioned 'taf' "bird" and 'jak' "to fit".

picked up the conlanger's lexipedia for lexember, it's making me actually enjoy building a lexicon which is a first

#ConlangNovember 18:

I haven't done anything regarding registers for Alun languages, including Ullalk. The closest thing is a 'polite' form of 2nd person pronouns that existed in Alun that no longer exist in Ullalk.
#ConlangNovember 18: Today, we're talking about formality and registers. Are there different varieties of your language used in different situations or by people of different classes? When would you use them, and how are they perceived by society?

My internet has been doing this cool thing recently where it stops working for up to 5 hours at a time.

#ConlangNovember 17:

Ullalk is very happy to just juxtapose the relative clause, except in a few cases where it uses converbs.
November 17, 2025 at 4:44 PM
#ConlangNovember 16.

questions in Ullalk are formed by placing the particle /el/ before the subject. There are no words for 'yes' or 'no' they can simply answer by repeating the verb in the affirmative or negative form.

Verbs can be negated by adding /nif/ after it.

Hello #conlang and #neography enjoyers!
Today i am proud to announce that I finally reached 100 roots in Ūgzána (only 750 more to go...)

To celebrate, I made a tiny animation, which should have been longer, but After Effects chose to not be helping, and kept crashing so i gave up.

Ullalk SVO by default, but other word orders are used to convey grammatical information. So called wh interrogatives continue to be SVO, but yes-no interrogatives and imperatives are VSO. Though in practice, it is more likely to use a topic-comment word order. 1/2
#ConlangNovember 14: Today, we're discussing word order. What order do the subject, object and verb appear in in a sentence? Does it vary? Do adjectives come before or after nouns, and adverbs before or after verbs? And so on.

#ConlangNovember 14: The closest word Bittic has to "stand" is "stable". I've combined it with all of Classic Bittic's verbs. They're not as minimalist and elegant as Kēlen, but I still like them. #conlang #conlangs #langsky #conscript
