The afternoon kicks off at our Young People Conference with a trip to the ‘Neurodome’ in the company of neurologist Professor Judith Pratt, who takes the audience on a journey through the billion neurones that make our brains. Changes in the brain during adolescence can be a driver for conflict.

During our Monkey Vs Lizard-themed workshops this morning, we asked young people to tell us what activities they did to safeguard their mental health. See below for some examples of what they do. All very sensible and suitable for all ages.

Our Young People Conference is where science meets social change. We'll spend the day helping young people understand how brain development drives conflict how empathy, awareness and some simple tips on restoring calm can help restore calm. We'll be live-posting through the day.

Our website has made small but important changes. The old tabs (Young People, Parents and Carers, Professionals) are now For Young People, For Parents & Carers, etc, underlining where you can find the information right for you & helps people avoid ending up in the wrong section

The website's remapping came about through listening and responding to feedback.

Teachers, for example, told us they found it hard to locate our educational resources. We’ve listened, and now “For Teachers” is a dedicated section under the new ‘For Professionals’ dropdown menu.
