You gotta be silly, dude. At least a little bit. You gotta have a spring in your step and a smile in your heart or else none of this matters

A meme from 2020 that's stuck with me was about how the Imperium of Man (a multiplanetary spacefaring empire) does 1000 human sacrifices a day, and that was meant to demonstrate its immense cruelty, but we were losing more people to covid daily in the US alone, effectively sacrificing them to Mammon

107. There should be a new anthology of Star Wars short stories like Tales from the Cantina or From a Certain Point of View every year. Tales from Jabba’s Palace is arguably more responsible for making me a Star Wars Guy than the movies.

59. It’s gotta be gayer. It should be, it won’t be, but it’s gotta be gayer. Give us a Doctor Aphra show that’s like a Space Young Indiana Jones.

29. The Thrawn trilogy is not anywhere close to as good as you remember. But it did come at a time where there was nothing else really going on in Star Wars, and opened up the possibilities of what a Star Wars story could be.

They would make terrible movies.

That no one knew just how grim the future looked in, oh, 2011 / early 2012 is really something.
73. Disney saved Star Wars. This is what Saved Star Wars looks like. Before they opened their suitcase full of money, Lucasfilm’s best ideas they had going at the time were that I’m Han Solo Kinect game and Star Wars Detours.

That Ron Moore. He’s all right.
More Ron Moore AOL fan interactions from the 90s.

The first one deals with fan entitlement - the delusion that every true fan believes as they do and that they have ownership over the show because they care so much.
