Based on painfully true history, mixed with family drama, complex characters, and a gut-punch twist. [Scribe’s note: This is my sister Darla’s story, as dictated to me. I have tried to remain as faithful to her diction and voice as I can, while also making it intelligible and coherent. This is a lot but something I wanted to bring over here too..
Age of Ultron scene in Avengers when the older man is telling Loki there are not men like me and the man says there are always men like you.. I know this is just a silly superhero movie but this scene echoes in my head every single day. Sometimes it's what I think about on the really really bad days too. It's just Loki and some old guy. No it's more than that. There will always be men like you. And there will always be people like us, is the other half of that. It's Number the Stars It's To Kill a Mockingbird It's The Diary of Anne Frank It's The Giver It's Maniac McGee It's The Outsiders It's Holes It's The Book Theif Its the story that gets told over and over in stories passed down, in different ways, different forms and different dressings by all different kinds of people but it's the same message, the same thing we all grasp for. There will always be people like us to push back, to argue, to point, to stand up. We're human, we get beat down and tired, but we cannot kneel, for us and for those who can't stand up themselves.. It dosent have to be big, it can be small, tiny, but stand up. If you'll sit at any table, how can you ever stand for anything?

I bought this book, in paperback over 16 years ago, I still remember the $4.50 I paid for it and then proceeded it read it over and over and over again.. I loved it lol. Here's the thing tho, I store everything in a cloud mentally and if I don't see the book cover the information does not download, including titles and authors 😅 So for the last 6 or so years I've been struggling to remember the title or author, all I could remember was it was red and gold lol Here about 6 months ago I went hard again trying to find it and nothing, I was irritated. The last week I was scrolling Pango and it was just there, right there to be purchased?! I screamed and it just delivered today!!!!

Seeing Robert Picardo again, on screen as the Doctor, gave me chills and I felt the magic alive again. I like TV and movies but it dosent get through to me like books do, but this was one of those moments where I'm like yes oh my god yes. He was one of my favorite Doctors honestly and I still remember those quick quips haha. That new uniform color is nice but I still prefer science blue 😂😅. I know this is probably one of my weirder status' but I just don't care, I just need this moment to fully nerd out. Do not even get me STARTED on Rhys MF'in Darby being on SNW?!?!?
