Japan is in no way perfect, it has many flaws, but this sort of thing is fucking phenomenal and I so desperately wish we had an approximate of it becuase fuck man it sucks that so much of our lives get dictated by corporate morality

What the article completely fails to mention is that satellite-on-satellite combat is the end of modern society.
Not only will we no longer be able to reach orbit due to debris, we'll lose GPS and most global communications. It would set our technology back at least seventy five years.

The complete inability of people to recognise AI generated videos and images scares me. Seriously, a lot of people I talk to will look at a ridiculously badly generated videos and images and claim they are real and nothing is wrong. A seven fingered human with a five legged cat looks normal.

It is somewhat interesting to me that somehow gacha and lootboxes are not considered gambling, despite fitting the definition in every way. Like, genuinely, I feel like if the pull animation in gacha was resembling a slot machine it'd be illegal, but just change animation and it's all fine.
