The other possibility is that the engineers who wrote Siri wrote the code so that only they knew how to maintain it, which is also an unfortunately common practice
"If you fire me, you're fucked" is the logic. It doesn't work that way though sadly. It's just vindictive for the sake of it.

I find this both amusing and sad because, love him or hate him, Steve Jobs was an early proponent of obect oriented programming F/OR THAT REASON.
Object Oriented Programming when properly implemented (and it so rarely is tbh) is supposed to eliminate spaghetti code.

That's as far as my not quite fully recovered vision will allow me to get for now, but hopefully in the next week or two I can at least check out any new storylines
I'm also curious if Emergency Power to the Spacebar still works XD

If you've ever turned on an electric heater and smelled dust mites burning off the heating element, it's that kind of smell, like a mix of dusty electronics, except we ran the HVAC multiple times this week and never had anything like that before.
It's kicked on twice since, and no smell either

The only bright side to this is that SNAP benefits will hopefully be paid.
The downside is there's no guarantee healthcare benefits will be protected (read: they won't be)

covered, whether it's private insurance, wellcare, I think even Medicaid does this, you probably just need to go to their website and see what is covered, and notify your doctor.
Now I have a friend to clobber for making me panic LOL

100% why Microsoft kis killing Windows 10 and forcing everyone to switch to 11 honestly. The boiling frog analogy is so on the nose at this point it's not even a meme anymore

And, don't think for a second that they're only going to turn the AI training algos loose on your private data once you engage with the system either. They absolutely will "anticipate your usage" and do it if they haven't been doing so already for months now, if not years. You are the product

I used to be a proponent for AI usage, making work easier for developers, artists, etc. doing the tedious crap, but corporate ruins everything. They always do.
