It's a little early, but I'm too excited to keep this under wraps any longer. Presenting the 2025 edition of "Winter Songs" ❄️ It's been refreshed and has some wonderful new additions. I hope you enjoy it! 🎄

Another rewatch of “Ugly Betty” complete. Oh boy, that ending 😭 The last two episodes of the series are so good and so incredibly moving. What a journey. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it (even season two - not as bad as I remember), and I’ll miss my evenings spent with Betty and co.

I have recently discovered the benefits of a hot water bottle. All it took was for me to buy and move into a house (built around 1900) which currently has a heating system that isn’t working properly.

This fleece is saving my life during this cold snap.

I heard Hera Björk‘s “Je Ne Sais Quoi” for the first time today. What a moment. On a related note: “Scared of Heights” was - and continues to be - robbed.

Just watched “A Diva’s Christmas Carol” and life will never be the same.

And that’s another rewatch of “Looking” completed. As naff as it sounds, having been to San Francisco earlier this year, the show was more enjoyable this time around. It deserved so much more, but what we got was brilliant television.

Have spent my day researching dehumidifiers. Depressing, or empowering!?

“XMAS” is easily song of the year. Maybe song of the decade???

Started “The West Wing” tonight which seems like something someone in their thirties would do.

Sat in the pub earlier doing some work on this year’s edition of “Winter Songs” - frightening stuff.

I thought the lighting was good here (I know I’m drunk BUT).

The country may have lost out on Maria’s Steen‘s hot gay husband (with his slutty little glasses) being in the Áras, but we have thankfully gained another President of Ireland that will do us proud. I’ll miss Michael D. Higgins representing us, but I’m delighted for Catherine Connolly.

Venice is very pretty. But it’s the €1.30 glasses of wine that really sparkle.

I’m glad to report that I am now off work for two weeks and I am drinking some Kylie rosé. Thank Christ.

It feels like a good time to tell everyone to go and watch “Better Things” because 1. Celia Imrie is so good in it, and 2. It’s such an underrated gem of a TV show - honestly, what a series.

My sister is about to give birth to her third child. I‘ve asked the other two what they think the new baby should be called. The oldest (who’s 4) responded with “Slug.” The youngest (who’s about to turn 3) agreed. I also heard “Worm” as a suggestion.

I’ve had one (1) pint and one (1) cocktail and I am feeling *it*. Now having a glass of red wine because of course 🫨

Spent last weekend in Dublin for “Macbeth” followed by The GALAS where we (Roscommon Pride) won Event of the Year for 2024 - still on a high 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Back to Dublin on Wednesday for JADE (one of the best, most fun gigs I’ve been to!). Now we’re in Tramore for a few days before Venice next Sunday. Madness.

A very warm Bluesky welcome to Broadway's dearest and most luminous light. In her own time a legend, a myth. Ladies and Gentlemen, Miss @loulouboncheese.bsky.social (she won’t get this reference)!

The Popjustice Forum has been down since last night and I honestly don’t know what to do with myself.

Drinking on a weeknight (but I’m abroad so it’s okay).

Popped out to the Museum of Modern Art after work as it was open until 8pm (only €5). Then had a lovely dinner along with some negronis and shots that cost €56 (although two shots were free as they were mistakenly poured - we didn’t say no). Warsaw continues to be an absolute gem of a city 🇵🇱

Absolutely delighted for Jeff Hiller and Hannah Einbinder - both hugely deserving winners. I hope Jeff’s win gets more people watching the incredible “Somebody Somewhere” (there’s only 21 episodes, you have no excuse!). And fair play to Hannah on her speech, a great use of her platform 🇵🇸
