“This is not the end of me, this is the beginning…”

That line from Andy Grammer’s "Not the End" hit me hard this morning. It’s a reminder that every challenge, every pivot, and even every so-called "failure" is just part of a new chapter — not the end of the story.

Happy Friday...

It's been a long, heavy week here in my little corner of the world. But it's Friday and I'm going to make sure to take time for me this weekend. (See comments)

Happy Friday, friends! ☀️

Before we slide into the weekend, just a little reminder from me to you:

✨ The small stuff does matter.
✨ You made it through another week (👏).
✨ Rest is productive.
✨ You’re allowed to feel proud of what you did get done.

We don’t always think of fiction as leadership development.

But what if the stories you love—the ones that challenge you, move you, stay with you—are quietly shaping the kind of leader you’re becoming?

Quick vibe check on my office mates…

Duke (left) and Rafiki (right) have officially claimed my new rug as theirs.
Productivity? Questionable.
Cuteness? Off the charts.
Work-life balance? Nailed it. 🐾✨

Anyone else working with furry coworkers today? 💻🐶

I’m sitting outside, waiting to get my busy day of back-to-back meetings started and it’s such a beautiful day. ☀️

So I got to thinking… How will I spread light today? And I’d love to hear from you! What’s one small action you’ll take to spread some light and joy in the world? 🌎

Just finished Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey — finally! Book 22 of 2025 and worth every second.

Got inspired to read it after hearing him speak at ATD 2024. The audiobook? Chef’s kiss. Highly recommend.

Fav quote: “Be less impressed, more involved.” That one’s staying with me.

May is Mental Health Awareness month.

What are you doing today to take care of yourself?

🍔 I’m enjoying lunch on my deck. Away from my computer. Away from the 🛎️ of Teams. Away from work. And I’m listening to Matthew McConaughey’s book, “Greenlights!”

Just finished Coming Home by Brittney Griner, and wow—I’m still processing. It is raw, powerful, & deeply personal. Her story of resilience, identity, & finding strength in unimaginable circumstances is beyond inspiring. #ComingHome #BookSky

I loved it & it opened up a whole new side and perspective to a friend I’ve met in recent years. I understand much about how therapeutic writing can be as we recover & grow from life’s traumas. I’m thrilled that Sam has used this as an opportunity to be both vulnerable & inspiring! 💜 #booksky

Good mystery book but a tad slow paced for my liking! Lots of twists that keep you thinking! 🤔 #BookSky

Watching #FireAid tonight! 🤍🫶🏼 Despite the chaos in this country, this gives me hope for tomorrow. We must continue to have one another’s backs.

Tell me that you eat your feelings without telling me…

It’s been a long January and a longer last 7 days!! 🔥🔥

P.S. This is not my typical lunch. I just need to go grocery shopping! 🤣

Anna O by Matthew Blake - Wow! Kept me guessing to the very end. Set in London, there are twists and turns, but I loved the British accent for the audio book narrator! 🤍 So so so good!!

Feeling disheartened by recent events? You’re not alone. 💔 But together, we can resist, rise, and create change. ✊

✨ I just shared an article on how small actions can lead to a collective impact—and why hope is still our greatest tool.

5 ⭐️s Wow. I picked this book up a year ago & had to put it down because I was still working my way through some of my own trauma. I picked it back up as an audio book & it is such a powerful story of Britney’s journey, trauma, & will to fight for & find herself after everything she endured❤️‍🩹 #booksky

Being a woman is tough. Sometimes it feels like our emotions just sneak up on us—right when we’re trying to hold it all together. Ever cried and thought, “Ugh, I really didn’t want to”? Same.
