You all should know, the federal government literally cannot round up trans citizens. there are only like 137,000 domestic federal police (NYPD is 34k!).
25k are diverted to ICE. The rest already have other laws to enforce. who's gonna arrest 3 million trans people? the military can't!

I think contrapoint's statement is wrong and I strongly disagree with it. Though, it never ceases to amaze me how disposable trans women with a platform are. Legit criticism gets quickly carried away and morphs into absurd dogpiling as a form of tall poppy syndrome.

People need to realize trans misogyny isn’t just blatant bigotry like “trans women aren’t women.” It’s also the refusal to extend empathy toward or desire to understand trans women’s perspectives which builds & curdles into hostility. And I’m seeing that kind more and more in leftist spaces.

We also can't forget the contribution of Dave Chappelle and Netflix to the trans panic. Unlike the earlier bathroom ban in North Carolina that led to businesses boycotting the state, Netflix proved that transphobia was now profitable. That changed the entire game.
this is why I have always believed in my heart that JKR should have been deplatformed for stochastic terrorism in 2021 when Trump was. she really helped normalize the idea that there was a “feminist” case for transphobia and how to frame it as a defense of women and girls. may her soul rot

The NYT's anti-trans fear mongering was cited in a Supreme Court briefing that stripped away the rights of trans kids. They need to be fully blacklisted by queer people and their allies. Don't work for them. Don't use them for book press. Don't speak with them for stories. They made their bed.
