I know what you mean. Compared to all other reveal trailers, it doesn’t really lean into anything. It’s step 1 and it’s like they are very carefully treading back into the landscape, weary to cause too many ripples. I guess we’ll see in the coming weeks.

I like that it seems to tick many BF3/BF4 boxes, but obviously there’s no way of knowing what we can expect. BF2042 looked great initially as well, but the things that mattered they never really delivered.

I’ll have to dust off the PS5 to spend time in the Beta and get some hands on.

So all in all, if that sequence of events didn’t happen…if he hadn’t endured that tragedy, I wouldn’t exist. Which is kinda a weird way to think about your own existence 😐

I have good memories about my grandfather. But he never talked about the time he spent in the labor camps. After the war, he was repatriated, entering the country in out village and that’s when he met me grandmother. He had to stay here for a while in quarantine and he decided to stay here.

There’s about 8000 graves, with a waitlist of 1000 people willing to adopt. They’ve closed the waitlist a few years ago due to the overwhelming interest.

I’ve always had a strong connection to WW2, as my grandfather was deported to Germany as a forced laborer. (Arbeitseinsatz)

You commit to the responsibility to take care of the grave. Keep it clean and visit it regularly. Leave flowers on special occasions like Memorial Day.

I think most WW2 cemeteries have something similar. This one is the only one in the Netherlands dedicated to only American WW2 soldiers.

This may mean that you may have to wait several years before you are eligible for a grave.”

Chances are it’ll take many more years before I’m even up to adopt a grave.

Translation:

“Thank you for registering as a prospective adopter. Currently, there is still a waiting list, which has now grown considerably. Graves are only released after the death of the adopter or when they indicate that they are no longer able to visit the grave due to illness or old age.

Still working but almost done for this week. I’d rather be a retired millionaire doing whatever I feel like. But my employer is not willing to retire me with a millionaires pension. 🤣

I guess I should’ve made it an and/or 🫣

For me it’s only ASD, my daughter is also both ADHD and ASD. Although she doesn’t have the issue of the mental lock as much.

Very recognizable. ADHD or ASD?

Just to clarify, the product I’m currently responsible for is a legacy product at the end of its lifecycle, that’s based on PHP/laravel with huge technical debt…which is not my fault by the way 😂

Looks like someone just declared war on Italy.

The US will either turn into Russian style autocracy, or there will be a civil war. Either way, it’s going to get messy.

Probably because it was only observed for the first time 5 hours before it passed earth.

“Asteroid 2024 XA was first observed at Catalina Sky Survey, Arizona at 04:58 UTC today – approximately 5 hours before the flyby.” That was last Sunday.
