every day Mark Carney reminds me that he's a Liberal in the way that I say I am someone who enjoys running, in that I am not and need to stop convincing myself otherwise

Prime Minister Mark Carney refuses to use alt text on social media, appointed Marco Mendicino as his chief of staff, then eliminated the ministers for “diversity, inclusion and persons with disabilities” and “women and gender equality and youth”. #cdnpoli

One of the strongest arguments against allowing secretive bodies like the Canadian Task Force on Preventative Health Care to make guidance in back rooms, without transparency or scientific oversight, is the behaviour they exhibit when forced out into the open.

Health guidelines should be transparent. The Task Force’s aren’t

I sincerely hope this means we start to prioritize safer air (hepas, ventilation) and hygiene (masking when sick, staying home when possible when sick). Also, more and more, on top of covid, it's looking like avian flu is mutating toward a pandemic. We could be prepared.
I've been slowly re-reading merchants of doubt & it's simply amazing how much the tobacco fiasco mirrors the COVID fiasco right down to the language used. "Alarmists" is a term that seems to be frequently applied to people speaking uncomfortable truths.

Welcome to #longCOVID world.

What's worse than a huge chunk of highly-skilled workers in life-critical industries suffering from COVID-induced cognitive impairment?

When it happens and *nobody is telling them what's happening, why, or how to protect themselves*.

Do you wonder why you haven’t heard much about this massive TB outbreak recently? Cuz the CDC can’t hold any press conferences or issue public statements of any kind.

A 67 year old amputee and wheelchair user lived with his son who had cerebral palsy.

They were killed in the Eaton fire while waiting for an ambulance that never arrived.

Many disabled people can not evacuate on their own. They need to be included in evacuation plans (yet almost never are)

Happy 14th anniversary!
My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary today. We were married on 1-1-11 at 1:11 p.m. in the afternoon for $111 (not $600 million).

Yes, we are total nerds.

And yes, we are totally WOKE.

This data is absolutely terrible. How can they put this out and pretend this is okay to reduce Covid case counts like this??? HOW?

2 cases detected. 3 deaths??

I know at least 15 people with Covid right now.

Why aren’t people up in arms about this?

Explain it to me like I’m in kindergarten.
