Next week, Nadhim Zahawi's former libel lawyer is being prosecuted by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority for misconduct. It's a public hearing, and anyone can attend, in person or via Zoom.

A quick thread.

Today I am thinking about American journalist Marie Colvin and French photojournalist Rémi Ochlik who risked their lives to tell the truth about the Assad regime.

They were assassinated in Syria just for shining a light on peoples suffering during the civil war.

Let us remember.

So it turns out they spent £715 million on sending a grand total of FOUR volunteers to Rwanda.

For comparison, this is more than you could expect to spend on building an entire brand new hospital in the UK
In July, I FOI'd the Home Office for the full breakdown of spending on the Rwanda scheme

I was refused because the government planned to publish the data in future, and today is the day. These numbers are in millions

Petition: Commission a public inquiry into the impact of the UK exiting the European Union
Given that it has stated its aim of growing the UK economy, we think the Government needs to quantify the effects of exiting the European Union as soon as possible by setting up an inquiry.

King Charles inherited £650m tax free, gets £125m a year tax free from the tax payer and has an estate worth £22bn that’s never taxed.

But he still needed a 45% pay rise.

Like if he needs a pay cut.
