Zohran Mamdani wasted little time as mayor-elect of New York City before making clear that he sees part of his new role as standing up to the president of the United States, who had threatened not only to defund the city if he won but also to arrest and deport him. Mamdani, a Democrat, addressed the Republican president directly and at length from the stage at his victory party in Brooklyn on Tuesday night. “Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up,” he said, before declaring, “If anyone can show a nation betrayed by Donald Trump how to defeat him, it is the city that gave rise to him.”

It's just so terrible when people say something unprovable as though it's fact, and then not only double down but call for action, and maybe even violence, based on lies and propaganda. Who could have possibly foreseen this? WHO, INDEED.

Criticizing the government is a right, and a responsibility when this much corruption and evil is in control. Withholding federal funds until a Governor promises to fall in line forever is blatant bullshit.
