Mutagenized plants produced progeny with numerous visible mutant phenotypes. Nanopore and short-read sequencing identified 2-3 mutations/ mutagenized individual. These included mutations in the Immutans and AS1 genes.

Not described here are her multi-year efforts to design and build tanks and to create a suitable chamber to grow these lilies in. This paper contains some interesting observations and is a must-read if you are interested in understanding the evolution of imprinting.
