The house was so crowded that Daichi could barely breathe. He'd lost count of how many times he'd been elbowed on their way to the kitchen. Now, drinks secured, he felt completely boxed in. His boyfriend's fingers tickled as they fished out the whistle from his back pocket. He winced at the shrill sound right next to his ear a second later, just like everyone else standing close to them, a little path magically appearing. He didn't need incentive to take it, but the hand returning the whistle remained flat in his pocket to give his ass a push forward. He threw a look over his shoulder. Tetsurou looked ridiculous.

Notes: This wasn't exactly the fic author experience I was hoping for, but I do feel like that stereotype of things happening-violently-in my life around posting this fic. I began posting the first chapters; we had a fire at work. As it went on, I ran into some health issues that are still not resolved. Yesterday work got a bit physical; now I'm posting this with a concussion. I think with the context, it's quite funny. Though I do hope that I stop having this authentic ao3 author TM experience soon.

"First ya attack me and now ya wanna get food?" "Uh… yes?" Atsumu felt a headache creeping up on him. "I apologize, okay? I…panicked. We need to clear this up." Sakusa swallowed visibly, eyes suddenly shying away from him. Atsumu ran his hands through his hair and laughed humorlessly. "Okay, Omi-Omi. Let's get food and talk about yer porn shtick." Sakusa's full-body flinch was an unexpected sting in Atsumu's conscience.
