I've written what feels like one of the best pieces I've ever written, for a big feminist website, but the trouble is that something dramatic keeps happening to change the course of my legal transition, and that means I keep having to rewrite the damn thing.

@reckless.bsky.social Per today's Vergecast about LLMs vs old assistant apps, I had three things I asked my Android phone to do via voice. "Play___," "play next song," and "what time is it?"
Gemini could not execute any of those commands, and would not sync with Tidal. Google Assistant does, 100%.

Given that Bluesky seems to be banning people for being mean about her, let me remind everyone that J.K. Rowling has put her own money into creating an environment for trans people in the UK that is so hostile it endangers them in every way. They just can't fight back with millions of followers.

Ezra Klein says in his Q&A episode that he doesn't think Gaza is genocide because for Israel to be created as a result of the Holocaust and then to be the first country found guilty of genocide would be a big thing to get one's head around... What? I've never heard such a waffly answer before.
