Just vibing & making random cosplays. It’s absolute chaos, but I make cool things.

I will also have my Nordic Armor (Banzaicon Best in show 2021) on display at my table.

My cosplay lineup is still not set in stone but I’m thinking it’ll be Black Water, Sukuna, and Morrigan

I will be also debuting a hybrid live demo/ PowerPoint info dump style of panel that weekend. Panels are usually one of my favorite parts of any weekend so I am super excited to try something new

Finally coming back from a very long social media break to announce that I’ll be a guest & judge next week at Queen City Anime Con in Charlotte, NC.

I was Best Journeyman in 2021 (the Xayah on stage on 2nd pic) so this is a surreal experience and an absolute honor.

Hi, longtime no post but I’m back with some standing collar nonsense.

I must scream about this tricky little guy. Between choosing velvet as my fabric, having to top-stitch vinyl trim, and finding a way to get the structure without buying more supplies, this was a challenge

Hiiii, back from being MIA to share the feral pics that @m_e_photography got of my Sukuna at Animazement
June 16, 2025 at 1:58 PM
Hi yes, I am in shock and got an award at the masters level with a basic anime design. I had fake blood on me from my skit so the acceptance was pure chaos with me frantically telling the judges not to touch my hands 😂

Inspired by a beautiful vintage kimono I got to see in person (first pic), I decided to do the white pieces as appliqué with couched cording around the edges. It’s not actual goldwork threads but is similar enough for my purposes

I totally forgot to do Sukuna updates on here soooo, embroidery WIP time:

More sashiko. The bow (shaped like a Heian period obi bow) is a modified loop bow pattern and every element is double sided which means double the embroidery 😂

8/10 parts done so far!

I’m cracking up that after being in Sukuna for 16 hours at Triad that this is the best picture where you can see the most facial tattoos.

It’s a blurry, zoomed in screen cap of someone else’s photo lol. I am scheming to get full body pics soon

Satisfying Sukuna kimono progress pics feat. A stitch in the ditch binding, hand sewing down the inside of the collar and piping after being installed.

It’s slow work but she is turning out nice and neat with only a few weird places (because something always goes awry when I sew)

In this house we hand stitch the backside of our collars down because even though no one will see it except for me, it comes out so nice and clean

I have been fighting the kimono for my Sukuna cosplay and need serotonin. So please enjoy this dumb ribbon that’s a joke based on a mistranslation/character backstory.

This horrible man is my lil pookie and I have made 2 ribbons for him. But I like this one better

My high school glam photo vs a cosplay photo a over decade later in almost the same pose
March 14, 2025 at 4:25 PM
I swear this dupioni is actually navy blue irl but it is a different color every time I take a photo 😂.

Anyways, enjoy some sashiko embroidery close ups. I have over complicated yet another simple anime design but I have no regrets

Once again, I am over complicating a very simple design via being extra. It’s my specialty apparently.

On this episode of ‘Just Cosplayer Things’: gave myself a heart attack with this jump scare because I forgot the wig & ponytail were drying in the shower

Finally got these finished enough to be able to do a spin (very happy that I went with a nearly full circle pattern for the skirt). I still have some hemming and clean up to do but I’m pleased so far
February 23, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Plugging away at the skirt. The lining is FINALLY fully stitched and sewn to the fashion layer (via flatlining). I added the piping and sewed the trim on.

I still have to press everything and do a little hand sewing but then the two halves will be done and I can attach them
February 18, 2025 at 12:49 AM
Made some piping out of 4-way stretch vinyl in a brownish wine color. Basted down the piping onto the collar seam allowance and then attached the actual collar. Now all that’s left is pressing seams and hand stitching down the back side

Currently at a relative’s house watching pets but I did get 75% of the 130 inches of Bediou’s trim stitched down. It’s definitely a little wonky in some spots but it’s deeply satisfying. So much better than the mass produced trim I was thinking of using
February 11, 2025 at 7:04 PM
Due to my Cricut being an idiot and nearly giving me a heart attack, I ended up having to cut the remaining trim for the cuffs by hand.
I glued the sections together with copydex latex glue and ironed stabilizer to the backs of the seams

Holes punched and eyelets installed: the gauntlets are done
February 7, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Leather progress:
First two pics are before and after burnishing the edges (such a difference)
Third pic is with and without polish
Fourth is the finished gauntlet pieces
February 6, 2025 at 1:04 AM
While I’m waiting on my leather to dry so that I can dye it, I’m practicing my stitches. I’m doing a variant of a saddle stitch called a leapfrog stitch which lets me work without a stitching pony (yay for not having to buy yet another tool!)
February 5, 2025 at 4:03 PM
One guantlet is tooled and hole-punched for stitching. Still need to add holes for the grommets
