I do have to say that I’m very glad to see so many people supporting Sen. Booker in this nonviolent act of resistance instead of being mad that our politicians aren’t throwing hands. This is what political theater can do when used well.

THIS THIS THIS. I know we want something actionable to make us feel like we're fighting back, but we can't boycott our way out of the fact that big box stores and the pandemic destroyed local shops. What we need is regulation, which IS something that we can campaign for locally.
I 1000% agree but I think it also needs to be said that it's become increasingly harder to boycott on the same level as our ancestors did when everything is corporate owned.

It's hard to tell ppl living check to check to shop local when local places have eggs for $12 and Wal-Mart is at $8.
I fear that this generation and below aren’t equipped for boycotting like our predecessors. We are so comfortable with convenience and don’t have a strong understanding of community. Our predecessors relied on each other, while we live in the “what that gotta do with me” mentality.
