I love my town’s voting stickers — designed by local school kids. Make the kids proud and go vote! Even if it’s the most local of elections, even if there’s no real contest. All politics is ultimately local. And the act of participating in democracy matters. Also a way to check your registration.

ICYMI: An Alexander Dugin account (Russian fascist ideologue) reposting Musk's support for the AfD. In case you still had any doubts about Musk's political character and the reality of the far-right international.

The NYT's synopsis of @margaretatwood.bsky.social's "The Handmaid's Tale." Apparently it's simply the story of how both "men and women perform the services assigned to them." That's all. Nothing to worry about. This is what happens when you both-sides and normalize.

This is just one example of the sort of nonsense Musk is spreading. 64.5 million views. An odd dissonance with the land of reality, where I'm teaching about dissidents who resisted Soviet regimes. Havel's "Power of the Powerless" is an interesting read right now.
