some old ones I did a few months back when I first had the idea for the project. I know I want her to be mostly naturalistic, but have fantastical patterns and maybe some interesting feather features. But most importantly I want her to be able to emote, without being too anthropomorphic, like Spirit

I’ve taken everything I’ve learned over 2025 and put it into the first piece of a new personal visdev project!

I’ve had this idea for awhile and excited to explore more of the narrative ❤️

Some color thumbs for the comp I decided on! Excited to make more progress on it. Streets of Zine is a joy, you should go check them out!!

The town is laid out in an organic arrangement, and the 2-4 story buildings have gabled and hipped terra cotta tile rooves, and light stone walls. A small bridge connects the two halves of the town across the canal, and towards the ravine are many trees. 5 different color sketches, ranging from early morning light, to sunset, to nighttime. New visdev piece for the class I’ve been working through! 🐺🍓 (I’ll make sure to do a final recap post once I finish all the assignments, but wanted to share this one one its own!)
Little Red Riding Hood meets a wolf in the forest, inviting him to come along, unaware of his intentions. The forest is full of gnarly trees and wildflowers, and the two characters are on a threshold, about to cross from light to shadow.

Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA. A lush park with lots of flowering bushes and variety of trees. Behind a group of bushes is a cute little hexagon gazebo-esque building (I think its for park staff when there are events)

I love this spot
A small courtyard/park with stone floors, some landscaping and trees, and a fountain inset into the ground with some geometric pillars as the water spouts. Its midday with sunlight shining through the canopy of leaves and casting cool shadows on the stone walls. There are a few tables and chairs and a few people at them. Another wall of the courtyard/park, a closeup on the tree cast-shadows. There is an aged round metal emblem on the wall (presumably dedicated to the park’s founding) and a couple empty chairs.

Some more assignments for Airi Pan’s Schoolism class! Have had to work through the class pretty slowly due to life stuff so I only just finished assignment 3, but still goin’ and am enjoying having structured practice 🙏
