Our first big snow of the year. May get 10". It is not supposed to stop until 7am tomorrow. I am very glad 😊 I did not sign up for OT this weekend. I like the snow better if I do not have to drive in it.

I wouldn't have been able to comply on the German sweet treats anyway. Dad's side of the family decided we were American not German. It is kind of interesting what little bits still hung on. Some of this was a safety thing I think.

Sweets. There is maybe implication I should forgo my lunch and bring German sweet treat for her.

She went savage another time on me when I put in for high fives for my clinic team. We had had High fives were peer appreciation pins Gundersen used to do. That I needed to do something real for.

I was having racing thoughts all Thanksgiving. That is a schizophrenia thing. It makes it hard to focus. My portion of Thanksgiving dinner took me forever due to that. Also making it so I cannot sleep now.

Kind of a wonky throw. I like what the glazes did on this one. This one ran but not as bad as the other.

My glazes really ran on this one. They had to bust it off the shelf. I still kind of like what the glazes did though.

I kind of like what the inside of this little bowl thing did. I should have continued the sgraffito flowers more fully around it.

Maybe this is not accurate on the amount spent on jewelry. I am so glad I was not raised in an expensive jewelry as gifts type family. My Mom's wedding ring is unpolished silver and rough because marriage is not easy. I think the diamond obsession is barbaric in a lot of ways.

Montfort had a problem with a deer poacher, I guess it would already be like 10 years ago. They were across the street from us. They were just killing the deer to kill them. They were not eating them. When you went down the one back road along the sides it was scattered with remains of deer.

Later I see a dude walking across the trail carrying a gun. He had no blaze orange on. I did look up gun season in WI does not start until the 22, which was what I thought one of the old guys at work had said. At anyrate I did not get shot. I also wasn't the only non hunter person out just to
November 15, 2025 at 10:13 PM
Well I was foolish today. I scored some OT today. After shift I was thinking go work out in the gym, but it is so warm today went with hike in woods. Totally spaced out it was bow season. I get out a ways on the trail and then I hear some gunshots. I second guess myself and keep going. Awhile

Supper tonight. Kid me would be horrified I am eating cabbage. There was a guy I went to school with who said when he was living purely off his art sales he just ate cabbage soup everyday. It was all he could afford. In case people need cheap meal ideas. I don't know his soup recipe though.

I think these are my favorite curds in the area. I only find them sometimes at Mills. They had jalapeño flavor today!

Pumpkin sage gnocchi for supper tonight, from fresh pumpkin not canned.

Snow is hitting in Montfort now. Maybe a better picture than earlier today.
November 9, 2025 at 2:16 AM
So far today: washed dishes, went to gym walked an hour and did some exercise stuff (I am really out of shape), shopped for work lunches stuff and weekend dinners, and finally Mom wanted to go to Mills so I took her. At least I am strong enough to get Mom's wheelchair in the trunk.

This one felt like a lot of clay, but it was only 2lbs. Not a great throw.
November 5, 2025 at 2:28 AM
This one went bad from the start, so I practiced bringing it in. This one got tossed.
November 5, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Third throw.

I was really happy with this one, but I got to close to the bottom when I opened. Turned into a hole when I took it off the bat. I guess I can use it for plants.

I started out throwing strong tonight, or at least strong for me.

Ancient Egyptians did not typically pay for medical services.
November 2, 2025 at 4:33 AM
Evidently ancient Egypt did have social support services. Food was provided to workers. Had a medicine system. State took measures to support families in distress, and would sometimes provide shelter and food.

Circumcised. Probably an over simplification, but ancient Egypt's government system did last a long time.
