But what is it with Wilsons on the west coast?! Portland has Keith Wilson now. The city I used to live in, San Diego, had Pete Wilson a long time ago, who then became Senator and Governor.
(My partner who also has Wilsons in his family line is now regaling me with the clan history)

This is so instructive about the reality distortion field that happens at the NYT. People inside really can't see the difference in what gets covered, and how, and how the amount of emphasis/focus changes what a story *is*. The example of the panic over trans kids is such an instructive case.
