“The local nature of zoning reinforces the status quo and makes commissions very subject to local opposition. I think it’s almost paralyzing.” Spot on, your honor.

Yes! When I lived in Boston, didn’t own a car, took the T everywhere. A man once tried grinding his junk against me on the T. I was horrified, but I never felt in danger because I was surrounded by other people. I’ve felt more afraid when a dude rides my bumper cuz I refuse to drive 40+ in a 25.

I wish they’d day the quiet part out loud: when you take transit, you encounter people that are different from you, and over time this builds connection, empathy, understanding, tolerance, etc. That’s what scares them because they want us to feel separated and afraid of the “other.” Get bent, SD.

This is my favorite form of housing. Triple deckers are the best.

Love it. Hasan Piker said basically the same exact thing back in the fall.

Is this Hoboken? Us CT transportation nerds did a field trip there last March and it was so inspiring!

Also, taking advice from @enephdee.bsky.social, no one should spam them.

Another terrible logo. I get the intent behind it (single family house dwarfed by a large apartment building). But at first glance, it looks like a liquor bottle with smoke from a still-lit cigarette coming out of top, left next to a wall of PO Boxes or some such. 😂
