She/her
I saved some photography from my garden this summer for winter processing, because I knew when it was cold and dreary, I would miss my flowers. Every time I get the "I hate winter" feels, I pull out a picture from my pollinator garden and process it.

It makes the cold feel a little more temporary.

Clover got groomed today. She might be *too* cute now.

Happy Sunday, all.

Let’s go.

My husband accidentally loaded too much soap in the dishwasher so it was (much to my kids’ delight) dripping bubbles all over the kitchen floor. With that clean, we now have to conquer the dishwasher itself. 😅

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted what I’m reading, so here’s my next one! (With my sad, autumnal garden in the background.)

Have you read it?

What are you reading?

Today’s baking project(s). I had a can of pumpkin on hand so I used it.

Pumpkin spice bread with a crumble top and maple glaze (it’s not terribly pretty but it smells good) and pumpkin spice cookies.

Clover wants to show off her new collar. It came with a matching leash. She feels very fancy, I assure you.

My weekend read.

I love the setting (historical Spain, complete with the inquisition), the lush prose, and attention to detail. I’m not sure where this is going, but I’m eager to find out. This one is proving hard to put down.

INTERNET, we have been having an argument in our house this morning.

DISCUSS.

Today, I paused editing long enough to bake chocolate peanut butter banana bread.

It has been a long week and I feel the need to read something that I can just sit back and enjoy. I need popcorn-adjacent.

I’ve also been told that this book is wonderful, so…

I guess I’m finding out!

My next read.

This won the Nebula Award this year so I knew I had to check it out. I’m not terribly far in yet but it’s an intensely unique concept and a marriage of macabre and cozy that truly delights me.

It’s been a minute since I’ve plowed through half a book in a day but here we are. I cannot put this one down.

I’m having a bit of a high pain day (overdid it with some yard work…) so I went to the library, because books are always the answer.

This appears to be my next in-the-garden read. Keeping in mind, I just started it… I am *fascinated* by the worldbuilding so far.

And my hummingbird friend has already checked out the book while I was reading so I figure that’s a good sign. Or something.
