Adore this. If you've ever been lucky enough to go to a citizenship ceremony you'll know that it's big-hearted and deeply nourishing. Our immigration debate could learn so much from them.

7 Stages of Pen Grief:

1. Realizing it doesn't work
2. Scribbling on the notebook
3. Scribbling harder on some cardboard or whatever
4. Looking at the full ink reservoir and frowning
5. Sucking on the ballpoint
6. Scribbling on the notebook some more
7. Throwing it across the room

we were once given a Myers-Briggs session and they guy asked if anyone knew about it and a woman said she did and thought it was rubbish; he asked what her experience was and she said “a PhD in psychology and a master’s in hr management” and he carried on with the session anyway, which was funny
I refused to do a management course at Which? because it involved Myers Briggs garbage. The trainer rang me to ask why I didn't want to do it, so I told her it's evidence-free bullshit and about as useful as knowing I'm a Sagittarius Hufflepuff. She wasn't very happy 😁😁
I once worked at a business school on MBAs and they got new students to do a myers briggs during induction, got a consultant guy in to do the tests and went to through all the results.

When I found out that was a thing they did I LAUGHED SO HARD in front of the dude running it.

Didn't get sacked.

editorial from @bmj.com and paper: Poor staff retention is associated with higher patient mortality. Have said it before & I’ll say it again. If you don’t care for the carers, they cannot care for their patients.
