I’m struggling to make art because I feel so oppressed and worried

The same capitalists who are crushing us want to discourage us from making art by stealing our work to train their models and replacing us professionally. But again, art is a tool of survival. We need to create privately. We need to make real work with our hands. We don’t have to post. It’s ours.

It’s also important to remember that during crisis, making art saves people. It gives an outlet for pain, it allows us to imagine better, it records, and it gives us a voice. There’s a reason why there’s a huge push for art to be replaced by AI. They want to take away one of our best survival tools.

So true!! I find with drawing realistic art at all, I need to just disconnect from what I think I see and just draw point blank

and the cartels are only taking advantage of this addiction problem that has profound roots in the way US society works. So stop blaming others, acknowledge you have a problem and start dealing with it, it's the first step.
