I bought a black-eyed susan plant for Mother's Day in honor of my mom since they were her favorite flowers. They are finally starting to bloom. Like almost everything, I inherited my mother's ability to kill every plant, but I'm so glad I've kept this one alive.

One of the few things I regret in life is not getting a copy of my mom's Mac & Cheese recipe before she passed in June. We'll, apparently Amber conspired with my sister to get the recipe and made a pretty damn close version of it for me as a surprise tonight. Y'all, I don't deserve her. 😭

I started November with just 3 books read so far this year. Now I'm going to be finishing my 12th book of the year today, completing my goal for the first time since 2017.

Another book finished. 5 more to go by December 31.
